I've had that experience several times - everyone I've ever taken to see Loudon loves him right out the gate, and as you say, the fact that they can understand every single word is probably a big factor. He's a really good singer, the kind that has mostly improved with age.

Surviving Twin is the one that kills me ...

Hilarious, indeed, but I have a feeling he'll be dropping that one soon - in the course of listening to that song you realize it was his own fault: he ground-checked his guitar in a soft case!

I wondered why he did that, then I thought that if you are a lesser-known celebrity, you might think you look like a jerk who is trying to be recognized, walking around the airport carrying a guitar. If you really don't want to be recognized, then it's even worse.

So, Susie (Rachel?) IS a capital-B, and it is a funny song, but I kind of agree with her that the guitar damage was his fault. Heh-heh.

My favorite of the "newer" songs - and I'm not sure how new it is because I've seen him do it several times now - is the "Song In C" that he does at the piano. Sweet.

Hey JOTS - Well, see here, Loudon should have made a video:

Saw this on the AP yesterday, with the story that they paid up after the video got some media notice:

"United Breaks Guitars"

I like it - it's a fun C&W number. The guy also has a website davecarrollmusic-dot-com you might have better luck streaming the video from there.
